Terms & Conditions

By scheduling or purchasing a tutoring session, the student and/or parent or guardian agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Tutoring Services

Vámonos Spanish Tutoring provides Spanish-language tutoring and educational support. Services may include:

  • Spanish vocabulary and grammar

  • Reading and writing practice

  • Conversation and pronunciation

  • Homework support

  • Test and quiz preparation

  • Study skills and review

  • Customized Spanish lessons and activities

Tutoring is intended to provide educational support and does not guarantee a specific grade, test score, or academic outcome.

2. Scheduling

Tutoring sessions are scheduled in advance based on tutor availability.

Students are expected to arrive or log in on time and be prepared to participate in the scheduled session.

Sessions begin and end at the scheduled times. Arriving late does not automatically extend the session.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling a session.

  • Cancellations made with sufficient notice may be rescheduled at no additional charge.

  • Cancellations made with less than [24 hours] notice may be subject to an $85 cancellation fee.

  • Missed sessions without notice may be charged at the full session rate.

  • The tutor may waive a cancellation fee in reasonable circumstances.

4. Payment

Payment is due after each completed session.

Accepted payment methods include: Zelle or Venmo

If payment is not received by the agreed-upon deadline, future sessions may be paused until the account is brought up to date.

5. Online Tutoring

For online sessions, students are responsible for having:

  • A reliable internet connection

  • A working device with a video camera

  • Access to the agreed-upon video-conferencing platform

  • Any required materials

Technical problems on the student's end generally do not qualify for additional tutoring time. If a technical problem on the tutor's end prevents the session from taking place, the session will be rescheduled or otherwise handled fairly.

6. Student Expectations

Students are expected to:

  • Arrive prepared and ready to learn

  • Participate respectfully

  • Complete assigned practice when applicable

  • Communicate when they do not understand something

  • Treat the tutor respectfully

Tutoring sessions should be a positive and supportive learning environment.

7. Parent/Guardian Communication

For students under 18, communication regarding scheduling, payment, cancellations, and other administrative matters may be conducted with the student's parent or legal guardian.

Parents/guardians may be asked to provide emergency contact information when appropriate.

8. Privacy and Confidentiality

Student information, academic progress, and tutoring materials will be treated respectfully and kept private except when disclosure is required by law or necessary to address a safety concern.

The tutor will not publicly share a student's name, photograph, work, or identifying information without appropriate permission.

9. Educational Materials

Materials created or provided by Vámonos Tutoring are intended for the student's personal educational use.

Unless permission is given, students and families may not reproduce, sell, distribute, or publicly post proprietary tutoring materials.

10. Communication

Official communication regarding scheduling, cancellations, payments, and tutoring matters should be sent through email or text message.

The tutor will make reasonable efforts to respond during normal business hours.

11. Tutor Cancellation

If the tutor needs to cancel a session, the tutor will provide as much notice as reasonably possible.

The session will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time or, when applicable, the student will receive a credit or refund for the canceled session.

12. Safety and Appropriate Conduct

The tutoring service is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and age-appropriate learning environment.

Inappropriate, threatening, harassing, or disrespectful behavior may result in the termination of tutoring services.

For online tutoring with minors, sessions should take place in an appropriate environment and follow any applicable parent/guardian, school, or platform requirements.

13. Refunds

Payments for completed tutoring sessions are non-refundable. 

14. Changes to Services or Policies

Vámonos Spanish Tutoring reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions when necessary. Updated terms will be provided to clients when appropriate.

15. Agreement

By booking or participating in a tutoring session, the student and/or parent or guardian acknowledges that they have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
